The trailer in question does not meet NHTSA requirements for importation. The trailers VIN# is not permanently attached to the trailer and the foreign manufacturer does not have a designated agent within the United States. On February 23, 2024, CBP Wilmington recommended re-export due to the company not meeting the current NHTSA requirements, and not being registered to import Food Trailers into the Unites States. No response from the broker as of yet.
